So I used longer length clips and as best as I could tried to tell a story against the lyrics....
To anyone who watched Firefly & Serenity, you understand how I feel about the actors. I loved the characters they portrayed, and once it went riding off into the sunset on the silver screen (well before its time), I want the actors to at least go on to bigger projects… hoping to see them once again on screen. I thought I would gather up some information on what they’ve been up to (mostly via imdb, albeit)....
Check this out. For a box office bust (unfortunately) Serenity is holding its own! For reference, here is Firefly’s Amazon ranking history since it arrived on DVD. Its neat as you can see its sales ranking improve as Serenity approached and the impact Serenity had on the series. Bottom line, TV shows don’t do this. Canceled shows do not reappear on the silver screen. They don’t beat out everything else (sales wise) out there two years after being canceled....

Needless to say, it will be in my hands on the 20th =) I did want to comment on something though… When you look at the cover “art” for the DVD. For someone who clearly loves their work, and who has dedicated so much time and heart into this project, only to have it ripped away by Fox after never really given a chance, and then Universal blankety mis-marketing the movie?...
Back in 1995 (yes I know that was a long time ago), a very good sci-fi TV show aired on Fox – Space Above and Beyond. It followed squadron of Marines in the year 2036 (or something like that), defending Earth from Alien invaders. On the surface, this seems like a very shallow, childish plot from a 60’s sci-fi short story. But what you would miss is the compelling characters and background stories that made the show fun and interesting....
