Evolution of a doomed conversation… Oh, the demo... its a quick informal thing... think of it as an opportunity to show off your prototype work. Just show what you have... Oh, its now a formal demo... handful of customer reps... no big deal Oh, its just three demos... And by the way, how much extra functionality can you add in 7 business days? You know that feature your schedule says will take another 3 months to complete....

If you can find high def versions of these, I highly recommend it. Incredible performances! Update – well son of a bitch, those bastards at Fox pulled the videos. Don’t they know this is like free advertising?! If anyone can find versions, let me know. (Updated second video… someone pulled the original link)

This will be one of those posts that apologizes for the lack of posts, saying the author has been really busy but will try to be better. So in effect, its a non-post post. Brilliant. In any case, we’re moving to a new apartment in Palo Alto next weekend and will finally take ownership of our new k9 addition =)

I still have the CD backordered, but there may be print issues, so who knows. Thanks to imeem, you can checkout my favorite song from it so far. You don’t get many groups with a female vocalist this powerful and raw (almost Janis Joplin-esque). Additionally, I’m becoming a huge fan of imeem. I don’t use it as a social networking site (facebook/twitter/blog is quite enough for me to handle at the moment), but it is a legitimate way to embed songs like this....

On the UK release of Threshold’s Dead Reckoning album, they included a cover of the Muse song Supermassive Black Hole. Its quite good. It doesn’t have Muse’s dance beat that the original had, but I still think its quite catchy.

My second music video (this time in the true spirit of AMV) using scenes from Final Fantasy X set to The Urge’s It’s My Turn To Fly from Titan A.E. The lyrics are actually quite appropriate for FFX. Ironically, this was (while much quicker to do) harder to piece together. I was less intimately familiar with the video material and it was a much shorter song. I think it turned out pretty well....
