I’ve been less active blogging and more engaged in other social media outlets (twitter, friendfeed, etc). My Friendfeed RSS is probably the best way to keep track of everything if you use feeds, or check this page. If you don’t use friendfeed and are into that sort of thing (ie have multiple avenues via which you engage the internet), I highly recommend trying it out. Just got back from an East Coast trip to DC and Boston, and I’m completely exhausted....

Why is it hard trying to keep a habit of writing a bit every day. Seriously, you think this would be a bit easier… Lots of people do it now. I must confess, its been a lot harder to keep motivated to get things done (GTD) in the hobby sense when I get home from work… Quite a few things are contributing factors: Conserving Power -- I no longer keep my desktop powered 24x7 since we moved into our new place....

Nikon’s new D90 comes with Video! At first I was skeptical… but check out this video!! The incredible thing is that you have a kick ass lens in front with a very high quality sensor, and it’s a amazing what the results look like! The control over depth of field is simply amazing! I was going to save up for Nikon’s new full frame D700, but this will give me pause to consider the possibilities of the D90…

We’ve been doing a lot of js-based development on our project lately, and the more news like this, the better. Safari and Firefox have new JavaScript engines coming out that look really promising performance wise. In contrast, recently the ECMA group (that is in charge of the JS “standard”) abandoned their v4 plans to go with a less ambitious v3.1 of the JS language – maybe no the best decision, but I don’t think its the end of the world....

I didn’t realize the storied history of the Arial font. I wonder if Times New Roman has an equivalent story behind it.
